The retirement visa is also called Non-Immigrant O Visa. The first thing you need to get a one-year extension in Thailand is to obtain a non-Immigrant O visa in your home country. If you do not wish to open a bank account in Thailand and don’t mind returning to your home country every year you can apply for a non-OA visa there, but the process is a bit more arduous than in Thailand.
Once you have the visa you need to open a bank account in Thailand, if you are using the 800,000 baht in the bank, you need to have it in the bank for 2 months before your first application. Sunbelt Asia can assist you in opening the bank account and getting all your documents ready for your application. You can apply for the one-year extension when your visa is close to expiring but we recommend you go a little earlier – just in case!
Once it is time to apply for the one-year extension on your non-O visa, our experts will ensure you have all necessary forms and documentation and accompany you to Immigration. Sit back, relax, and let our expert team manage your extension application.
